Measurements & Percentages

My surgery was a little over seven months ago.  Seven months seems like no time at all in the grand scheme of things.  The same amount of time it took my sweet baby boy to get his first two teeth, almost nine years ago now.  Enough time for momentous things to happen but still not much time at all.

I am feeling great.  I can comfortably cross my legs while I relax now.  It’s even becoming my preferr d way to sit.  This is one NSV I always looked forward to!

I’ve now lost 128 lbs and am officially under the 250 marker.  That was my next mini-milestone goal along the way so I’m proud to have achieved it.  My Fitness Pal tells me I’m now 70% of the way to my goal.  Something about those numbers and mini-goals achieved, they make me want to forge on.

I also had my husband help me take my measurements again today.  This was the first time I’ve done them since mid-November.  I discovered I’ve lost 65.5 total overall inches throughout this past seven months.  If I could lay that amount of skin out end-to-end, the sight would be astounding.  This kind of amazes me and makes me feel sick all at the same time.

Initial Measurements - 7/3/17:

Breast - 61"

Chest - 52"

L Upper arm - 18.5"

R Upper arm - 18.5"

Waist - 59"

Hips - 63"

L Thigh - 33"

R Thigh - 34"

L Knee - 24.5"

R Knee - 24"

7.25 Month measurements - 2/10/18

Breast - 48” (loss of 6”)

Chest - 41” (loss of 5.5”)

L & R Upper Arm - 15.5” (loss of .5”)

Waist - 44” (loss of 7”)

Hips - 50.5” (loss of 4”)

L Thigh - 30” (loss of 1.5”)

R Thigh - 30.5” (loss of 2.5”)

(overall loss of 31.5”)

Total loss of inches so far = 65.5

The ultimate end result bottom line for me is that I already feel so much better.  Stronger, healthier, more flexible, more energetic, just better all the way around.  I am comfortable in my own skin again and there is no feeling that compares.

I wonder what it will be like once I achieve the remaining 30% of my goal?  I know it will take some time as my weight loss has slowed some these last weeks but if I stick to my healthy changes and smart alternatives, it will happen.  My goal now actually feels attainable and there is power there for me.
